The NM-HD-2V from Cisco Systems is a 2-slot IP communications voice/fax network module designed to support up to eight channels of analog/BRI voice using medium complexity codec or six channels using any supported codec. There is no support for T1/E1 or data WAN. The Cisco NM-HD-2V provides managed service providers, enterprises, and service providers the power to directly connect to the PSTN and traditional telephony equipment (private branch exchange [PBX], key system, analog telephones, fax machines, etc.) to existing Cisco 2600XM Series, Cisco 2691, 3640, and 3660, and Cisco 3700 Series voice gateway routers. The NM-HD-1V, along with others in its family, is the most versatile combination of analog and digital voice and data capabilities in a single network module.
