One slot is used by the supervisor engine, which supports two built-in FastEthernet ports, while the other slot connects to any Catalyst 5000 Family module to enable Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Token Ring, FDDI, or ATM. A new or refurbished WS-C5002-DC also comes with two built-in redundant power supplies. Designed to support growing campus systems, a new or pre-owned WS-C5002-DC offers full support for Cisco IOS-based routing as well.
