The Cisco Aironet AIR-LAP1524SB-E-K9 is a lightweight, highly secure access port (AP) for outdoor environments. A multiband AP, the AIR-LAP1524SB-E-K9 uses two 5-GHz radios to backhaul data traffic via the mesh network, and a 2.4-GHz radio for user access. The dual-backhaul IEEE 802.11a (5-GHz) radios are dedicated and transmit data either upstream or downstream, allowing for increased throughput for bandwidth-intensive applications.
